General Questions

What is the Soteria Tribunal?

+

The Soteria Tribunal is a private ecclesiastical arbitration body that provides binding dispute resolution services. We operate under the GRA{D|M}[E]JFAR protocol, a structured approach to arbitration that ensures fair, transparent, and efficient resolution of disputes.

Our authority derives from ecclesiastical principles and the consent of parties who agree to arbitration, either through contract or voluntary submission.

Is this a real court?

+

The Tribunal is not a government court. It is a private arbitration body operating under ecclesiastical authority. However, our judgments are legally significant:

Arbitration awards are recognized and enforceable in many jurisdictions; Judgments create public records of debt; Debtors are listed in the Lex Nigra registry; Liens can be registered against assets

What types of cases do you handle?

+

We handle cases involving breach of trust — where those in positions of trust fail their obligations.

Who can I file against?

+

Anyone who holds a position of trust and breaches it. We make no discrimination based on size or power — breach of trust has consequences regardless of who commits it.

What international frameworks do you recognize?

+

We handle cases involving breach of trust — where those in positions of trust fail their obligations.

What is the Soteria Trust Network?

+

The Soteria Trust Network is a federation of organizations running the Lex Nigra registry engine. When a Tier 2 (Dishonored) or Tier 3 (Blacklisted) judgment is issued by any member tribunal, it is automatically shared across all federation members.

How long does a case take?

+

Acknowledgment period: 21 days; Evidence period: 45 days; Judgment: 30 days; Appeal window: 90 days

Most cases are resolved within 3-6 months. Emergency cases can be resolved much faster, with compressed deadlines.

For Those Seeking Accountability

How do I file a grievance against a government or corporation?

+

Filing is straightforward:

1. Click "File Grievance" in the navigation
2. Identify the respondent (government agency, corporation, institution)
3. Document the violation — what treaty was broken, what rights were violated, what harm was caused
4. Specify the remedy you seek — acknowledgment, compensation, policy change
5. Upload supporting evidence — documents, reports, testimony
6. Submit your grievance

The Tribunal will review and notify the respondent. They cannot claim they didn't know.

What if a government or corporation ignores the process?

+

Powerful entities often believe they can ignore accountability. The Tribunal is designed for this:

Default judgment — If they don't respond in 21 days, judgment proceeds without them
Permanent public record — Their violation and refusal to participate is documented forever
Lex Nigra listing — They're publicly registered as having an outstanding judgment
Reputation impact — Investors, partners, citizens, and media can see the record

Ignoring the Tribunal doesn't make the judgment go away — it makes their conduct more damning.

How can judgments against governments be enforced?

+

Enforcement against governments relies on:

Public record — International shame and reputation damage
Treaty obligations — Other nations may pressure compliance
Civil society — Activists and organizations can cite the judgment
Investment impact — Sovereign credit and foreign investment considerations
Historical record — The violation is documented for future generations

Even when immediate enforcement is limited, the permanent documented record has lasting value.

Can communities file collectively?

+

Yes. Indigenous communities, affected populations, and organized groups can file grievances on behalf of their members against governments or corporations that have harmed them collectively.

For Respondents

Our organization received a grievance notice. What should we do?

+

Respond within 21 days. Ignoring the process will not make it go away — it will result in a default judgment and permanent public record of your refusal to participate.

We believe the grievance is without merit. Should we respond?

+

Absolutely. Acknowledgment is not an admission of wrongdoing — it's participation in the process.

How can our organization be removed from the Lex Nigra?

+

Satisfy the judgment.

What if we simply ignore this tribunal?

+

That is your choice. Here is what happens:

• A default judgment will be entered based on the claimant's evidence
• Your organization will be listed in the Lex Nigra
• The judgment becomes permanent public record
• Anyone searching your organization will find it
• Your refusal to participate will be documented alongside the violation

Many organizations have learned that ignoring accountability makes things worse, not better.

Judgments & Appeals

Can I appeal a judgment?

+

Yes, either party may appeal within 90 days of judgment.

How do I verify a judgment is authentic?
